Providing Care and Education to Children in Hammarsdale

Recognizing the urgent need for a safe and nurturing early childhood development centre in the rural Woody Glen community near Hammarsdale, one of our dedicated Babyhome carers, Thando Dlamini, helped us establish the Hammarsdale Child Care Centre. It has now been running for 10 years.

The centre provides daily care and Early Childhood Development to 20 babies and toddlers, many of whom come from vulnerable backgrounds. A significant number of their mothers are still completing their education, and we aim to support them by ensuring their children are cared for in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment.

Beyond childcare, the centre also serves as a distribution point for essential items such as clothing, toys, and baby products, into the surrounding community. We strive to assist families of our children ensuring resources reach those who need them most.
